Shipping Policy

Our Goal

Our goal is to make your every experience with Modern Dental Laboratory USA an excellent one – and our shipping department is no exception.

Shipping Policy - The Basics

At Avant Dental Arts, we process and dispatch all orders within 1 business day. Order dispatching is not handled during the weekend hours. Delivery time for your impression kit to arrive depends on your chosen service and location, but usually within a few days. A tracking number will be provided to the customers specified email when shipments are in transit. Transit during the holiday season might cause delivery delays. Delivery times are not guaranteed, so we apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

Avant Dental Arts requires 3 to 4 weeks for most custom-made dental appliances to arrive. If technical difficulties or a shipping delay occur, your order can take slightly longer to arrive. Your impression kit will include 1 pre-paid shipping label. Once you have finished taking your impressions, place the label onto the ADA box and drop your kit off at your local mailbox or post office.

Avant Dental Arts cannot guarantee exact delivery dates, and orders cannot be canceled due to later-than-expected delivery times.

How to Ship your items

  • All previous markings and stickers must be removed prior to shipping in recycled/reused boxes. This ensures your cases make it to the lab timely and without exception.

  • Disinfect all case materials, place in the bag and seal. Wrap each model individually with bubble wrap or foam padding. This protection will ensure your models and other case materials are not damaged during shipment (extremely important for any wax up).

  • Additional bubble wrap should be added to fill empty space and help avoid movement or possible breakage during shipping.

  • When shipping an articulator and face-bow:

    • (a) Remove the models from articulator and wrap individually

    • or (b) if models remain on the articulator, please separate the articulator. Each piece should be wrapped individually and anchored in the box. The face-bow and other enclosures should be wrapped separately.

  • Shipping any type of alginate: Please put Rx in a separate sealed plastic bag to avoid getting wet and destroyed. Staple the Rx bag to the appropriate case bag.

  • Shipping loose crowns, bridges, implants parts and/or shade tabs: Place in a separate small container or sealed plastic bag to avoid loss or breakage and staple to the Rx. Please be sure to include the patient’s name and staple to the Rx.

  • Any photos or slides that accompany the case should be placed in a plastic bag for protection.

  • In an effort to ensure that cases are not mixed up, if shipping multiple cases in one box, please bag each case separately.
